Our Students. Graphic Design Portfolio: Victoria Postica
Hundreds of students who have already graduated from our courses have left their mark on NewTech Academy’s online benches. Not with pens or correction fluid, but with digital traces: attractive portfolios, meaningful projects, and effective implementations that honor and delight us.
Most NewTech Academy graduates already hold positions in the field they studied, or have launched their own businesses and are putting the skills they learned in class into practice. We, the academy team, can hardly find greater satisfaction than seeing entire classes of graduates fulfill their professional potential and turn their passion into a career under the guidance of our trainers.
And now it’s time to hand over the keys. Today we are launching a new series that puts the graduates of the Graphic Design course in the spotlight, whom we have invited to talk to us about their art through the portfolios they created during and after the course. For a moment of peace in the middle of any busy day, we present the first portfolio in the 2025 series, signed by Victoria Postica. Enjoy!
Victoria Postica: “It’s no longer enough just to paint; an artist needs more skills: digital knowledge, marketing, and promotion.”
A graduate of Philology, Victoria is a creative and bold spirit who found her first form of expression in painting.

Aesthetics are her second nature, so she didn’t stop there, looking for new ways to get her message seen and noticed in a way that was also financially sustainable. In her own words:
“I’ve always had an inclination towards visual arts and painting, but I didn’t always know how to make money from it. Over time, I realized that it’s important to make a connection between my natural talent and my profession, but how do I adapt to modern needs? It’s not enough to just paint anymore; an artist needs more skills: digital knowledge, marketing, and promotion. That’s how I ended up taking the Graphic Design course organized by NewTech Academy.”
Victoria is part of the 2025 graduating class of the Graphic Design course at NewTech Academy. She faced the challenges inherent to the 9 months of training with an open and positive attitude, of exploration and self-improvement. And the results were not long in coming.
“I thought a new field would come with a lot of frustration, but it was a journey that I went through with enthusiasm and curiosity. I started to understand how logos, posters for cinema, theaters, and advertisements are made, so that later I could make them myself.”
The next visual is a movie poster designed in Adobe Photoshop, as a practical exercise within the course. It marks the transition from traditional to digital techniques and prepares the ground for the section dedicated to her graphic design portfolio.

Graphic Design Portfolio, with Sound
Even before finishing her course at NewTech Academy, Victoria put her knowledge into practice, creating a logo and artwork for a music album, and later creating posters for the producer’s newly released songs.
The logo was created in Adobe Illustrator as a vector graphic, so it would remain perfectly clear at any size. The flowing curves outline the brand’s initial and leave negative space for the symbol to “breathe”. The result is a modern sign, easily resized and ready to use in both printed and online materials.

The coaster mockups show how graphics can be translated into everyday merchandising items. The absorbent cardboard discs are printed full-bleed in CMYK, so the colors remain vivid even after contact with liquid. The centrally positioned logo becomes a focal point on bar tables and merch stands, giving the band tactile visibility and an easy-to-take souvenir home.

The large-scale poster demonstrates the scalability of the design. On an urban wall or in the foyer of a concert hall, the graphic withstands bright light and viewing from a distance, maintaining contrast and legibility.

The visual below demonstrates how the Petru Codreanu Records vector logo maintains its integrity on different media: electrostatically painted stainless steel thermo bottles, and a white ceramic mug. The printing is done by UV screen printing on metal and sublimation on ceramic, which keeps the monolinear line and the red spot accent perfectly clear even on curved surfaces.

The following visual is the cover of Aurora Music Collective’s single. The Photoshopped design immediately sets a warm and melancholic atmosphere, and the simple, centered title makes the song easily recognizable on streaming platforms. It’s artwork designed to quickly stand out in a crowded feed and convey the mood of the song at a glance.

Open the song on Spotify that Victoria did in collaboration with Aurora Music Collective, signing the cover artwork. Play and listen to the song to see how her graphics perfectly complement the musical atmosphere. We recommend listening to it until the end: it’s the fastest way to understand the synergy between her design and the band’s sound.
“I’m glad I had the courage to learn something new and broaden my horizons of knowledge. Art is not only on canvas, but it also adapts and can be expressed in different ways,” she concludes.
Victoria, thank you for the enthusiasm you brought to the classes and for the portfolio you shared with us. The NewTech Academy team wishes you a professional path that will highlight your talent and give you well-deserved satisfaction!
